Dalahyttur is a family run company and offers 9 double rooms.

There are three 15m2 tiny houses. Each house consists of sleeping area with double bed 160 cm, a kitchenette, dining area, a bathroom with a shower, WiFi and car parking for each house.

We also have six 20m2 double rooms in three houses. Every room has a separate entrance, 160 cm bed, sofa, bathroom with shower, armchair, kettle, coffee and tea, WiFi and free parking for each room.

Reception and a restaurant are located in a renovated Quonset house at our premises. From the hut you can enjoy beautiful mountain view over three valleys. In total darkness, late at night in the winter, it is nice to sit inside or outside on the patio and watch the Aurora Borealis when they appear.

Dalahyttur is centrally located in the west part of Iceland and the southern part of the Westfjords.

Þurranes

In Þurranes we offer accommodation in four houses, 3 cozy cottages and the old Farm house.

The Cottages - we have three cozy 43 square meter cottages. Each has two double bedrooms and a small loft with two extra matresses, a bathroom with shower, small kitchen with all necessary equipment, a small living room with a sofa and a delux hot tup on the patio. Each cottage can accommodate 6 people. This is a self catering option and linen is not included, but can be provided on request.

The Old Farm house is perfect for groups of 10-20 people. It has five bedrooms each with two single beds and an open loft area with ten single beds. The house has a big patio and a hot tub connected to the house with an overview of the farm and the surrounding mountains. The Old Farm house is a self-catering accommodation. It includes a fully equipped kitchen and a big dinging room with tables, chairs and sofas. The house has two bathrooms with one shower each. Linen and towels are not included, but can be provided, please contact owner for further details.

The houses can be rented for a single night or a whole week. They are very conveniently situated for trip around the West and the Westfjords. Beautiful views in a quiet farm area.

Travel Service Djúpidalur

Family run travel service. We offer double rooms and one single room, cabins and a brand new campsite.

There are facilities for cooking and guests have access to a hot tub along with a swimming pool during their stay.

Hotel Heydalur / Ferðaþjónustan í Heydal

Hotel Heydalur is located in the beautiful valley of Heydalur, around 320 km from Reykjavík and 130 km from Ísafjörður. The hotel offers 59 beds in 19 rooms (all with private WC) as well as three summer cottages.

The hotel restaurant is renowned for its delicious, local food which is served in the old barn.

The hotel also operates a campsite (open from June 1 until the end of October) with warm showers, flushing toilets and ample electricity plugs for RVs and trailers.

Heydalur has recently been nominated as the best bathing site in the Westfjords area. Near the hotel you will find two outdoor, geothermal hot tubs, as well as a small pool inside a tropical greenhouse. On the other side of the river Heydalsá you will find yet another natural hot tub.

The opportunities for recreation and activities are almost endless. The hotel has a playground for children and youth, but also offers guided kayaking and horse riding tours that are suitable for most people. There are numerous hiking routes available, birdwatching is excellent during summer and freshwater fishing is also possible. During winter, visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and, of course, the magic of the northern lights.

All beds are made and a towel is for each guest. Breakfast is not included but can be bought if ordered with a day in advance (8:00-9:30), likewise picnic packs and other light meals.

Seljaland

In Seljaland we offer accommodation for groups of 20-25. The old house takes up to 8 people and the three little cottages can fit 2-4 people per cottage.
A little restaurant that seats 25 people is located on these premises. Reservations must be made in advance.

A great place for small groups e.g. family gatherings, hiking groups or horse riding groups.

Háafell Lodge

Háafell Lodge is a beautiful country lodge located in Dalir, West Iceland. It can accommodate a total of six persons and features two double bedrooms with private bathrooms and a sleeping sofa in the living area.

The lodge is located on farmland were you can experience the authentic Icelandic countryside with stunning views of surrounding landscapes.

You can experience beautiful sunsets and bright nights in the summer and the Northern Lights can be seen well in the winter if people are lucky.

Hotel Bjarkalundur

Hotel Bjarkalundur is the oldest summer hotel in Iceland and has been operated since 1947. This family owned hotel is by many considered a landmark and has undoubtedly stood the test of time. The hotel is situated in one of the most magnificent spots in Iceland, at the footsteps of the amazing west fjords. Mount Vadalfjoll, famous for their majestic beauty, are also located nearby straight north of the hotel. Their most prominent parts are two ancient, basaltic volcanic plugs which have withstood erosion better than their surroundings. It is safe to say that the hotel is surrounded by Icelandic nature in its most purest form and as such a very good place to visit.
