Hostels

Dalahotel is a family owned hotel located in a beautiful, quiet valley, only 1 km from highway 60. The place is famous for its antiquity, Guðrún Ósvífursdóttir lived there, who was one of the main characters in Icelanders' Sagas. The hotel is located at the foot of a mountain where you can enjoy untouched nature with a number of hiking trails suitable for everyone. At the end of the day you can relax in the hot tubs and swimming pool, where the hot water is obtained from a borehole that is located in the hotel building area.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the West Fjords, Korpudalur is a former farmhouse that has been in the family for generations. Protected from the weather by the snow-capped mountains that surround it, the hostel and campsite provides the ulimate way to get away from it all. The basin is also a great enviroment for wildlife to thrive, with lush green wetland home to many species of waterfowl as well as eagles. Curl up with a book in the lounge or take on one of the many hikes in the area- the choice is yours. The former barnhouse is also available for hire and provides a great venue for parties, weddings and cinema nights.
