Borea offers guided multi day tours in the Nature Reserve where guests overnight in tents, our private base camp in Hornvík bay or at the abandoned farmhouse in Kvíar.

The Company owns an runs the Bjarnarnes ferry boat, an 18 passengers speed boat on scheduled and private trips to Hornstrandir Nature Reserve.

Litlabyli Adventures is a tour operator in Flateyri, run along with its sister Litlabyli Guesthouse, in an old beautiful house in Flateyri.

We have space for up to 10 guests in a comfortable home with beautiful views of the mountains and fjord. Each room has accommodation for 2 people, in double or twin beds.

This summer, 2020, the house will be rented out as one unit.

Amenities include free wifi throughout the house and free parking. Four rooms are with shared bathroom and shower facilities and one double with privet facilities; fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is available on request.

The house is a short walk from the convenience store, swimming pool, restaurant, and local hiking routes.

Erpsstadir is a dairy farm in Northwest Iceland, run by farmer Thorgrimur Einar Gudbjartsson and his family. Erpsstaðir are best known for their ice cream but they also produce the Icelandic Skyr, caraway cheese, white and wet cheese and various other dairy products which the "Cream Shop" at Erpsstaðir processes. All the milk for the production is from the dairy cows on the farm. For other ingredient we strives to use local, seasonal flavors whenever possible, such as rhubarb, dandelion honey, and blueberries from the Westfjords. The farmers at Erpsstaðir are pleased to offer visitors the chance to take a closer look at the world of milk production by seeing and learning of different shape the milk can take. Here you can experience a real Icelandic farm and buy homemade artisan dairy products firsthand. We are not distributing the products widely so far the best bet is to access the products directly from the farm.

Something special - Nature and Cultural Walks with a view of Ísafjörður

Ísafjörður Walk - An Interesting Journey Through Time (2 hours)

Our guide, dressed as a woman from the 19th century, and takes you on a walk from our meeting point or from the port through the city and up to the slopes above Ísafjörður. On the way you will visit interesting places, such as historical houses and trade centres from the prime time of Ísafjörður. You will get information on history and learn about the people and their living conditions, their beliefs and their culture, which is reflected in the legends. You will also visit the places the stories are told about. On the way she shares her lunch box with you.

If you like to get an insight into the history of Ísafjörður and hear more tales and stories about the people, ghosts, elves, trolls and other mystical creatures of ancient and modern times Elves, Trolls and Stories (2 hours), would be the right walk for you.
