Hveravik

Hveravík is a small tourism operation located by the bay of the same name on the northern side of Steingrímsfjörður. Development of the site began in 2017, and the operation makes use of naturally heated water sourced from the property.

Hveravík operates a small but well-equipped campsite, open year-round, with space for 20-30 campervans and tents. Facilities include electricity hookups, sanitary facilities, showers, and a hot tub with views over the fjord. The guest facility, Söngsteinn, provides indoor dining space and a fully equipped kitchen.

During summer, kayaking and whale, bird, and nature watching tours are offered in Steingrímsfjörður, where distances are short and sea conditions are often calm. The property also features a greenhouse, as well as horses and chickens, which are popular with visitors.
